Aircon Installation in Singapore

New systems, replacements and relocation, for homes and businesses island-wide. We quote after seeing the space, so the number you get is the number you pay.

Why installation is quoted, not priced

Every other service we offer has a published rate, and you can see them all on the pricing page. Installation is the exception, because the cost is set by the building rather than by the unit. The same three-room system can be a straightforward morning or a full day of work depending on where the condenser goes and how far the pipes have to run.

So we look first, then quote. What you should expect from any installer, us included, is an itemised number before the work starts, covering the removal, the piping, the electrical work and the reinstatement of the wall. A single lump sum with no breakdown is where surprises come from.

What we install

For homes and for businesses, across all major brands including Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Panasonic, LG and Midea.

New installation

A system going into a home or unit that does not have one yet. Indoor units, condenser, piping, drainage and the electrical connection.

Replacing an old system

Removing what is there and putting in a new system. Existing piping is sometimes reusable and sometimes not, which is one of the bigger swings in the quote.

Relocation

Moving a unit to a different wall or a different room. The move itself is the easy part; making good the old position is the part people forget.

Adding a unit to an existing system

Extending a multi-split to cover another room, where the existing condenser has the capacity for it.

What moves the price

Six things account for most of the difference between one installation quote and another.

How many indoor units, and what system

A single split serving one room and a multi-split running four are different jobs, not the same job scaled up.

Distance from the indoor units to the condenser

Every metre of copper piping between the units and the outdoor unit is material and labour. Long runs across a flat cost more than short ones.

Trunking or concealed piping

Trunking is the white casing you see running along the wall. Concealing the pipes in the ceiling or wall looks cleaner but takes more work, and is far easier to do during a renovation.

Where the condenser goes

A condenser at ground level is straightforward. One on a ledge, a rooftop, or high on a wall needs ladders or harnesses and takes longer.

Electrical work

Some installs need an isolator or a dedicated circuit run to the unit. Whether that is already in place changes the scope.

The old unit, and the wall behind it

Taking the old system out, disposing of it, and patching and painting where it used to sit are all real work. Ask for them to be itemised so nothing appears as a surprise later.

Relocating an existing aircon

Moving a unit to another wall or another room is common during a renovation, or when a room changes use and the aircon ends up blowing at the wrong place. The unit comes down, new piping and drainage are run to the new position, and it goes back up.

The part worth asking about is the old position. Taking a unit off a wall leaves bracket holes, an opening where the pipes passed through, and an outline where the casing sat. Those need filling, sanding and painting before the wall looks untouched. We treat that as part of the job rather than an extra, and when you compare quotes it is worth checking that whoever you are speaking to does the same.

What we need to quote you

Send these over WhatsApp and we can usually give you a figure without a visit. For anything complicated, or for commercial spaces, we come and look.

  • How many rooms need cooling, and roughly how big they are
  • Whether there is an existing system, and if it needs removing
  • Where the outdoor unit can go, and how it is reached
  • Whether you want trunking or concealed piping
  • Photos of each wall, and of the intended condenser position
  • Your renovation timeline, if there is one

Aircon installation — FAQs

How much does aircon installation cost in Singapore?
There is no honest single number, which is why we do not publish one. Installation cost depends on the number of indoor units, the length of piping between them and the condenser, whether the pipes are trunked or concealed, how accessible the condenser position is, and whether an old system has to come out first. We quote after seeing the space, either in person or from photos and a video call. See published prices for our other services.
Can you relocate an aircon I already have?
Yes. A unit can be moved to another wall or another room. The work is the move plus the reinstatement: bracket holes filled, the pipe opening sealed, and the wall patched and repainted so the old position does not show. When comparing quotes, check whether making good the wall is included or extra.
What is trunking, and do I need it?
Trunking is the white PVC casing that hides the refrigerant pipes, drainage and cabling where they run along a wall or ceiling. You need it whenever the piping is exposed. The alternative is concealing the pipes inside the wall or above a false ceiling, which looks cleaner but usually only makes sense during a renovation, before the ceiling goes up.
Can the piping be concealed instead?
Yes, if the building allows it and the timing works. Concealed piping is straightforward when a false ceiling is going in anyway, and considerably more disruptive afterwards, since it means opening up finished surfaces. If you are renovating, decide on aircon positions before the ceiling is closed.
Do you install a unit I bought myself?
Yes, we install both new and used units, supplied by us or by you. Tell us the brand and model when you ask for a quote so we can confirm the bracket, piping and electrical requirements before the day.
Do you take away the old aircon?
We can remove the old system as part of the job. Mention it when you ask for a quote so removal and disposal are priced in rather than added on afterwards.
Do you install for offices and shops as well as homes?
Yes. Commercial installations are quoted after a site visit, because access, ceiling type and the electrical supply vary far more than they do in a flat.
