Common aircon problems
Aircon not cold
Runs but won’t blow cold air — usually low gas, a clogged coil, or a dirty condenser.
Aircon leaking water
Dripping from the indoor unit — almost always a blocked drainage path or a frozen coil.
Aircon smells bad
Musty or sour odour when it runs — mould and bacteria on the coil and drainage tray.
Aircon noisy
Rattling, buzzing, or whistling — loose parts, a dirty blower, or a failing motor.
Aircon not turning on
Dead unit or no response — power, remote, a safety cutoff, or a board fault.
